What is a record cabinet actually called?
I am talking about the piece of furniture that had a turn table, sometimes an 8 track player, and built in speakers. I had an idea to convert one to hold two turn tables and updated audio equipment, adding a mixer and amplifier, for home DJ use.
it actually was called a record cabinet. that’s it. with the record player, it had a space on the side to put records in an stand up position in their sleeves and the cabinet, with the record player in it had a door or a something like a small door that closed to conceal the record player and records. it was called the record cabinet, with built in speaker on either side or just one speaker (mono, instead of stereo)
they were a nice piece of furniture.
